Let’s get 2018 off to a rollicking start! Join us for an EU-themed night of comedy at Widcombe Social Club, starring celebrated comedian, writer, critic and author Viv Groskop, direct from Edinburgh (almost), plus supporting acts. Viv writes regularly for The Guardian and The New European. An excellent antidote to the New Year Brexit blues!
Viv will be supported by a great line-up of up-and-coming talent: Fitz, Jessie Nixon, Morgan Rees and Alex Mahoney. Big thanks to Bath Comedy for supplying the acts!

Whether it’s as part of the main line up or as a compere, Fitz is able to draw laughs from his own life and personal experience while thinking fast on his feet in any given situation. Charasmatic and friendly, Fitz is definitely one to watch!” – Komedia Bath

Bright eyed, bushy haired, avocado eating millennial, Jessie Nixon will make you laugh at your existential dread. York student comedian of the year runner-up 2017, Funny Women “one to watch” 2017.

Morgan is a Welsh comedian with a densely packed set of one-liners and short stories as heard on Radio 4. He has reached the prestigious finals of Chortle Student Comedy Award 2017 and BBC New Comedy Award and came 2nd runner-up in So You Think You’re Funny 2017.
