Bath for Europe is bringing two prominent figures in the fight to remain in the EU to Bath in early August for what promises to be a very interesting evening. Our group recently became affiliated with the European Movement, and we thought it was a good opportunity to invite the Chair, Stephen Dorrell, and Vice Chair, Andrew Adonis, to talk to us about the European Movement’s work at the frontline of the campaign.
The speakers will talk about where we are with Brexit, discuss recent developments, where we are heading and what needs to be done to make sure we get a People’s Vote and win the vote to remain.
The European Movement is the UK’s largest pro-European Network, campaigning for a People’s Vote on Brexit. It is a truly grassroots organisation, with a community of over 10,000 campaigners and over 150 local groups across every nation and region of the UK. The organisation exists to promote European values of peace, prosperity, and international cooperation.
Doors and bar open at 19:00, with the talk and Q&A from 19:30 to 21:30.
Tickets are £6 for general admission; £4 for students with NUS cards and under 18s. Book yours here via Eventbrite.
The venue is the Widcombe Social Club, Widcombe Hill, BA2 6AA Bath.
