Attend our Virtual European Citizens’ Fair

Bath & North East Somerset Council, in association with Wera Hobhouse MP, Bath for Europe and other local community groups came together virtually to provide guidance for European citizens.

While the coronavirus prevented our speakers from meeting local residents face-to-face, they all wanted to convey their support and offer expert guidance for citizens from the EU, EEA and Switzerland.

Please note that for the time being, applications for Settled Status can only be made online via the UK Government website here. Applications are taking longer to process because of the current lockdown. All our speakers have the same message: do not delay in applying if you can.

If you are a Bath resident and are encountering difficulties applying for Settled Status, please write to Bath MP Wera Hobhouse at office@werahobhouse.co.uk.

Our local Citizens Advice charity offers free advice to all residents. Visit their website.

You can find other useful advice at the BANES Council website, at the Bristol Law Centre website, and through the charity Settled.

Listen to our speakers Wera Hobhouse, MP for Bath, Véronique Martin of the In Limbo Project, Douglas Eason of Citizens Advice, and immigration law expert, Solicitor Christopher Desira of Seraphus Solicitors, below.
