General Election 8 June 2017

Theresa May has announced a snap General Election on 8 June.  This vote is about Brexit.

Bath for Europe has no single political party allegiance, but we see this as a chance to change the direction of this country away from a disastrous hard Brexit that Theresa May’s Tory government are leading the country towards.

We therefore encourage our supporters to vote in order to ensure the best deal for the UK, which we believe is the one we currently have with the EU, including access to the Single Market and freedom of movement.

We believe the best way to achieve this is to vote tactically for the the pro-EU candidate has the best chance of defeating the Tory MP in your constituency.

Please also continue to support Bath for Europe activities and events, ask your friends and family to join us, and help to make sure that opposing Brexit remains high on the local agenda.

Ultimately, whoever you vote for, make sure you do vote on 8 June and have your say in the future of this country.  If you have not already done so, you can register to vote by 22 May 2017.
