Let’s turn out in force at this very first rally of its kind, celebrating our region’s shared European Parliament Constituency and the benefits we enjoy as part of the European Union. Our dear friends at Bristol for Europe are honoured to be hosting this joyful event which is just down the road for us Bath for Europe folk.
“The EU is hugely important for the South West. Exports to the EU from the South West are huge: Exeter 70%, Plymouth 68% and Bristol 66%. Our entire region benefits phenomenally from inward investment from the EU. Infrastructure grants are particularly apparent in areas of Cornwall; investment in science and research enables our universities to be among the best in the world. The EU citizens who live in our region contribute to our society in many ways, not least as staff in our beloved NHS,” says the rally’s organiser-in-chief, Becky Gilbert of Bristol for Europe.
This event will bring people from all over our European Constituency together for the first time: Bristol for Europe, Bath for Europe, Cornwall for Europe, Devon for Europe, Dorset for Europe, Bournemouth for Europe, Somerset LOVEs Europe, Glostays, Wiltshire For Europe, and of course GIBRALTAR FOR EUROPE.
