A message from Wera Hobhouse, Member of Parliament for Bath:
“I was looking forward to meeting you in person but that has not been possible due to the coronavirus crisis. I want to express to you how very welcome you are in our city and in our wider community. You make a positive difference in our lives everyday. You are a valued member of our society.
The current coronavirus crisis has made each of us realise that we are all connected. We must all support one another.
I am originally from Germany myself. I know what it feels like to move to the UK and to put down roots here. To build a family, a career and a life in this country. This country is my home.
If you are an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen, you and your family must apply for Settled Status in order to remain in this country after 30 June 2021.
Due to the coronavirus crisis, applications for Settled Status can only be made online for the time being. You cannot apply in person. Please follow this link for instructions. Applications are taking longer than usual. If you can apply online, please do not delay your application. Do it as soon as possible.
If you live in Bath and you encounter any difficulties applying for Settled Status, please let me know. You can contact me at office@werahobhouse.co.uk. As your Member of Parliament, I will do everything I can to support you and will raise your concerns with the Government. If you live outside Bath, please contact your MP’s office.
Thank you for being part of our community.”
