Bath for Europe is once again supporting a demonstration organised by Bath Welcomes Refugees for the Together with Refugees campaign against the Nationality and Borders Bill. The tragedy of recent drownings in the Channel emphasises how desperate people are to risk such dangerous journeys.
Join us at the next ‘Show Your Heart’ action to send a loud and clear message to the government that the public want the UK to offer protection to people forced to flee their homes, in line with international law – and reject the cruel approach of the Bill.
On the day:
- Bring an orange heart if you can, the symbol for Together with Refugees, with your own message.
- Wear a mask and keep socially distanced from others – even though we will be outside, we want to ensure safety.
- Use social media to spread the word – you might wish to display your poster in a window, or show your solidarity in another way. Whatever you decide to do, please take a photo for social media and tag your local MP and @togetherwith @bathrefugees and use the hashtag #TogetherWithRefugees.
