Please join Bath for Europe for a very exciting and thought-provoking evening with four outstanding South West female politicians. We are thrilled to be hosting a panel discussion with your South West MEPs discussing the benefits of our EU membership. Our panelists are three of the most passionate anti-Brexit MEPs: Molly Scott Cato (Green), Clare Moody (Labour) and Julie Girling (Independent, formerly Conservative.) Bath’s MP Wera Hobhouse (Lib Dem) will chair the panel. Wera sits on the Exiting the European Union Committee in Parliament. We will then have a Q&A session.
This is a rare opportunity to hear first-hand from the experts about EU institutions, the role that the UK plays in creating legislation and driving reform, as well as the benefits of our EU membership. With the growing possibility of a People’s Vote, it is high time to understand the facts and positive arguments for EU membership.
Some of you will have heard Molly, Clare, Julie and Wera speak at other events, including rallies in Exeter this spring and in Bristol last autumn. Julie Girling rebelled against her party by taking a stand against Brexit and as a result is now an Independent.
The event will be held in the Main Hall of Hayesfield Lower School, Brougham Hayes, Bath BA2 3QX. Doors and bar open at 6.30 pm
PLEASE NOTE: Brougham Hayes will still be closed for roadworks. Access is on foot with ample on-street parking on Lower Oldfield Park.
General admission £6; Sixth Formers and Student admission £3 (valid ID required.) Book your tickets via Eventbrite.
